‘From Fashion to Fine’: Hand ornaments, multi-finger rings and ear cuffs

It is a proud moment… Sharing my first story written for the renowned Italian magazine VO+– “From Fashion to Fine”. Written for their America issue, the story is about the three most talked about international trends from the jewellery industry- full hand ornaments, multi-finger rings and ear cuffs.
Showcased are an array of gorgeous jewels featured from jewellers like Amrapali, Entice, Mirari, Colette, Stephen Webster, Garrard, Leyla Abdollahi, Van Cleef & Arpels, Bina Goenka and Nikos Koulis.

There has always been an exchange of silhouettes and trends between the fashion world and the precious jewelry industry. Last year saw the emergence of three such trends which began their journey in base metal yet today are available in gold, adorned with multi-colored gemstones and sparkling diamonds.
The hand, a very important part of the body providing a good landscape for jewelry, can be flaunted with ease and flair. While bejeweled ears have been in trend since time immemorial, most earrings are designed to comply with gravity and only few extend upwards.
