Nirav Modi truly believes in spreading the sparkle of the diamonds. What was once available only on special appointments in his salon, is now available at not just one but two lavish Nirav modi boutiques in New Delhi and Mumbai. Last year saw the launch of the New Delhi boutique and this year its Mumbai. And that’s not all… with the launch of its three-storied flagship boutique in the fitting neighborhood of Kala Ghoda district in Mumbai, comes the announcement of his two upcoming international boutiques- New York and Hong Kong.
On the occasion of the launch, the Nirav Modi Mumbai boutique was wrapped like an enormous gift box with a large ribbon bow on the façade. The glitterati of Mumbai were welcomed in a pristine ambiance that captures and enhances the preciousness of the jewels and their detailed craftsmanship designed exclusively designed by the accomplished Spanish interior designer Jaime Hayden. Like the Delhi boutique, the Mumbai boutique also boasts of elements such as a theatrical window display made out of paper craft that will change every quarter, a bridal salon and swiveling display windows. Like his private salon, the Mumbai boutique walls are also lined with one of his most talked about inspirations- the contemporary art from Nirav Modi’s personal collection.
A live installation of models wearing stunning jewels from Nirav Modi collections ranging from their Lotus Collection, to the Luminance Collection and more impressed the guests. The brightest star of the evening was Lisa Hayden, the face of the brand, who wore a stunning necklace studded with two 20 carat plus heart shaped diamonds.
Speaking about the launch of the Mumbai Boutique and the latest milestone for the brand, Mr. Modi says, “It isn’t just a boutique that I wanted to create but an unparalleled experience. It is as much about how a woman feels as how she looks and I wanted every detail of the ambiance to take that into account.” He further added, “In addition to our existing offering, for this occasion, we have also launched a selection of new jewels for everyday wear.”
